An investigation into the Aug. 13 fire on the 1500 block of 11th Avenue South revealed the cause to be "incendiary/intentional," according to the Minneapolis Fire Department.

Investigators have determined a massive fire at a Minneapolis apartment building back in August, that left two people dead, was intentionally set.

The Minneapolis apartment fire that claimed two lives in August has been confirmed to be a result of arson, investigators have said, Fire crews responded to the blaze at around 9:40 p.m. on Aug. 13, arriving to find the fire raging inside a four-story apartment complex in the 1500 block of 11th Avenue South.

Along with the two people who died, Minneapolis Fire says four others were hurt and dozens more were forced from their home.
