A Hindu monk has been arrested in Bangladesh, days after spiritual leader Chinmoy Krishna Das was put behind bars, triggering massive protests by the minority community members in the South Asian nation.

This comes amid surge in extremist rhetoric in Bangladesh, where three temple were vandalised by a mob on Friday

ISKCON clarified that Chinmoy was removed from all positions long ago due to violations of organizational discipline.
