Colombian authorities have struck a major blow against international drug trafficking. In a six-week operation involving 62 countries, 1,400 tonnes of drugs worth around £6.7 billion were seized. A particular success was the interception of six 'narco-submarines' capable of carrying up to ten tonnes of cocaine.
