Hindu priest Chinmoy Krishna Das, a former member of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), was arrested from Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday. He was denied bail and sent to jail by the Chattogram's Sixth Metropolitan Magistrate court in a sedition case on Tuesday.

Charu Chandra Das Brahmachari, the general secretary of ISKCON Bangladesh, said the monk had been removed from all positions of the organisation.

ISKCON calls for a worldwide prayer gathering on December 1 to support devotees and minorities in Bangladesh following the arrest of monks and escalating violence against religious groups. The movement highlights the urgent need for protection and solidarity amidst ongoing unrest.
