STATE COLLEGE – Another game, another couple of records for Penn State star tight end Tyler Warren. The No. 4 Nittany Lions lead Maryland 31-7 at halftime on Saturday at Beaver Stadium.

Tyler Warren has broken Penn State Football’s record for most career touchdowns by a tight end. Warren’s 17 career touchdowns passed Pat Freiermuth’s 16 touchdowns and Mike Gesicki’s 15 scores. Warren is near the end of what will likely be the most prolific career by a Penn State tight end. He has 124 receptions for 1,516 yards and 16 touchdowns in his career. He owns the school record for receiving yards by a tight end and needs six catches and one TD to hold the records in those categories.

They got it from tailbacks Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen (143 yards rushing combined). They got it from defensive end Abdul Carter (four tackles for loss) and safety Jaylen Reed (third game-turning/saving interception). And, of course, from their do-everything tight end Tyler Warren. Maybe no more than from him.
