Maybe that’s what the seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback passed along to Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd when the two Bay Area natives caught up during a second-quarter timeout on Wednesday night at American Airlines Center.

After Mikal Bridges hit the Knicks first three of the game to cut the deficit to ten, the Mavericks went on a 10-0 run, capped off by the former Knick Quentin Grimes who completed a finger roll to make it 38-20 just 2:30 minutes into the second quarter.

Spencer Dinwiddie had 21 points off the bench, Naji Marshall had a game-high 24 and the Dallas Mavericks led almost the entire way in a dominating 129-114 win over the visiting New York Knicks Wednesday night.
